TGCOM Economia, 12 September 2017: Texere Advisors expands in China and opens a Shanghai office

Texere Advisors is proud to announce the opening of our China office in Shanghai, coordinated by Mia Wang.

Andrea Bonardi, managing partner of Texere Advisors, comments: “Companies can no longer think that it is possible to develop business in China from Singapore or Hong Kong. China has for several years now been considered the new America and it requires a special attention and a fixed presence in the market to be able to seize the opportunities it offers. The country continues to post GDP growth rates that are among the highest in the world and domestic demand is also growing strongly. Chinese are very attracted to Italian brands and so for our country’s companies it’s increasingly important to look at this market and develop a strategy that allows them to be present with either single brand stores or within specialized malls”.

The Shanghai office will be headed by Mia Wang Shanghai Office Coordinator, who owns a degree in Fashion Design and Technology. She has built up significant experience in the retail, luxury goods and hotel sectors. She has worked for different brands in the luxury, fashion and watch sectors including Patek Philippe, Zenith and Loewe. She speaks English and Mandarin Chinese fluently.Mia will mainly focus of developing business opportunities in China for Texere Advisors’ clients, in addition to creating and maintaining a network of contacts and relations to allow Texere to keep up to date with retail sector developments in the leading Asian country. This intelligence activity will allow the company to have a view of this strategic market that is always up-to-date.

Texere Advisors has offices in Singapore and Milan and through partnerships is also present in South Korea, India, Russia and the UK.
