She is a well-known expert in the fashion markets of Russia, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Balkan states. Before joining Texere Advisors team, she ran her own research and consulting business delivering services to the companies specializing in manufacturing, distribution and retail of fabrics, clothes, footwear and accessories.
Thanks to the combination of deep market insight, permanent monitoring based on developed methods of quantitative and qualitative analysis, she managed to help companies of every business scope. Among her clients were luxury brands like La Perla, huge high-street retail chains operating hundreds of stores like Oodji and KiraPlastinina, niche companies like fine jewelry producer Trollbeads. She also had a chance to work on the government project aimed at revealing textile industry in Bosnia&Herzegovina. In her activities, Ekaterina combines theory and practice.
She holds a degree in International Economic Relations with specialization in international trade and commerce and at the moment she is also working on a Ph.D. thesis. Ekaterina is eager to share her knowledge and experience, therefore she teaches courses in fashion marketing, including her unique course in regional development of a fashion brand in the Russian market.
Being fluent in English, French, Serbian/Croatian and having good knowledge of German, she does teaching for international students too. Ekaterina has numerous publications and comments a lot for local and international media, for example, Reuters, Daily Telegraph, Monocle. She also wrote a column on fashion business aspects for the Russian edition of Forbes magazine.
